directed by Tony Gilroy
PG-13; 125 minutes
We know from the start that rival corporate giants Howard Tully (Tom Wilkinson) and Richard Garsik (Paul Giamatti) hate each other’s guts. But we are unsure about how ex-CIA agent Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts) and former MI6 operative Ray Koval (Clive Owen) really feel about each other. Having their first encounter five years ago in Dubai, where Claire drugged, bedded and stole from Ray, their paths meet again in Rome, Miami, London and eventually in New York, where they have become inside spies… Claire for Tully and Ray for Garsick.
Their mission is one that has them on the same side: If they can steal a secret formula from one company, apparently to give it to the other, but in actuality to get it for themselves, they will make millions of dollars. This is a sexy, suspense-filled caper flick that will keep you guessing as to who can be trusted—and who will finally get the last laugh.
