The Silence of the Lambs
This 1991 Jonathan Demme horror/thriller is an absolute classic. The Silence of the Lambs stars Anthony Hopkins as jailed serial killer Hannibal Lecter and Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling, a student at the FBI’s training academy who interviews Lecter behind bars in the hopes that he’ll be able to help her solve a case.
This is surely one of the all-time creepiest horror movies on Max — and pretty much anywhere. It also basically swept the 1992 Oscars, so you don’t have to feel guilty about watching it. Not that you should feel guilty about watching any of these movies, because scares are good for you.
