The Boston Motion Picture Awards were founded in 2004 by Boston-area filmmakers Aaron and Seth Howland of 7 Fluid Oz. Productions LLP. The BMPAs were established with the purpose of providing independent filmmakers with money, exposure, distribution, and other important resources. This year’s competitions include the International Short-Film Competition and the International Spoof-Writing Competition. This year’s entrants will compete for 1,000s of dollars in cash and prizes, including a distribution contract and the opportunity to have a script produced.
