In The Heights (2021)

Following Lin-Manuel Miranda’s beloved stage musical Hamilton, In the Heights takes place in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York, following a bodega owner who sings about his dream of a better life.

Directed by John M. Chu, the 2021 movie is based on the stage musical with music written by Miranda, which is in turn based on the book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, who also wrote the screenplay for the movie.

The movie stars Anthony Ramos, Melissa Barrera, Corey Hawkins, and Leslie Grace.
