Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Santa Barbara, California / January 15-25, 2020 / sbiff.org

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is a staple of the international festival circuit. Nearly 200 films are shown each year, half of which come from submissions, including many premieres. Nestled between the Santa Ynes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, the festival has no trouble drawing press and industry heavyweights. It’s an Oscar-qualifying festival that offers many free educational panels. Among the 10 generous awards on offer, the winner of the Panavision Spirit Award for Independent Cinema receives a camera package worth $60,000.
