Omaha is hardly a small town, but the Omaha Film Festival does provide that welcoming, family-like atmosphere for its guests. The festival offers unique features, including the OFF Academy, a two-day conference for high school students, who get to learn from industry professionals. The festival has also embraced VR in a big way, with a state-of-the-art facility featuring Oculus Rift, PlayStation, and HTC Vive headsets. The OFF’s screenwriting competition offers finalists a chance to see their screenplays read aloud by professional actors in front of an audience, with a discussion afterward.

I can assure you that the Beaufort International Film Festival held each February in Beaufort, SC is well worth the entry fee. See the recap here -https://vimeo.com/321820933
