HollyShorts Film Festival

Hollywood, California / August 8-17, 2019 / hollyshorts.com / A, S, V

You might think that holding a short film festival at the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre, in the heart of Hollywood, would be an advantage in terms of industry interest and involvement… and you’d be right. HollyShorts is an Oscar-qualifying fest, and offers prizes to moviemakers including a Panavision camera package and equipment rentals. Select shorts are also programmed on the festival’s streaming website, bitpix. On top of that, and a wealth of panels and awards offered, the fest has implemented a new Industry Content Creators First Look Development Lab with Greg Silverman’s Stampede Ventures. If your long-term goal is to develop your successful short into a feature, start here.

I can assure you that the Beaufort International Film Festival held each February in Beaufort, SC is well worth the entry fee. See the recap here -https://vimeo.com/321820933
