Five-time Oscar nominee Allen Daviau, the director of photography behind such contemporary classics as E.T., The Color Purple and Bugsy, will conduct a Kodak-sponsored Cinematography Master Class at the United Artists Theater in East Hampton New York this Saturday, October 20th at 12:00 p.m. EST. David Schwartz, chief curator of the Museum of the Moving Image, will host the discussion, which will focus on the art of creating compelling images for the big screen. The presentation will include clips from some of Daviau’s most famous work, including Empire of the Sun (1987), Avalon (1990) and Van Helsing (2004). This event is FREE and open to the public.
