Adrienne Shelly Foundation on eBay

Published by
Nora Murphy

In January 2007, a non-profit organization was created in honor of the late actress and moviemaker Adrienne Shelly, whose life was tragically cut short November 1, 2006. The Adrienne Shelly Foundation exists now with a mission to support female moviemakers, like Shelly herself.

The organization is currently running an online auction in which 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the foundation. Until April 16th, items up for auction include tickets to the Tribeca Film Festival premiere and party of Cheryl Hines’ Serious Moonlight, which was written by Shelly, and tickets to television shows such as “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “Rachael Ray.”

Walk-on roles are also available for Kevin Smith’s A Couple of Dicks, starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, and Nanette Burstein’s Going the Distance, starring Justin Long and Drew Barrymore.

Lastly, exclusive lunches with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars—including Keri Russell, Paul Rudd, Edie Falco, Gina Gershon and David Schwimmer—are also being auctioned to the highest bidder.

This incredible auction with many more items to bid on will not only assist the foundation in providing funds to aspiring moviemakers, but will continue the legacy of Shelly herself. Though her last on-screen appearance was in Waitress, which premiered at Sundance in 2007 and was then distributed by Fox Searchlight, Shelly lives on through the foundation.
