Kai McGillvary Attempted to End His Own Life in Prison
McGillvary also told Vocativ that he had attempted suicide in prison a few months after his arrest.
“I really felt down and out to the point where I was just, I just wanted to die,” he said. “So I cut my carotid artery.”
However, McGillvary ultimately survived the attempt and continues to live in prison, where he is currently serving a 57-year sentence.
