Starring Julie Bowen (Modern Family, Lost) and Gemma Brooke Allen (Kate) as grandmother and granddaughter, this Netflix film is set in 1999. Adults who were their kids’ age around then will love this opportunity to talk about what life was like back in the old days. The story follows 12-year-old Beverly, who finds a broken mixtape that her parents made long ago. She endeavors to find out what songs were on it in order to learn more about her mom and dad, who died in a car accident when she was a baby.
