Passion shows.
Write what you love. Write the kind of movies that you want to see. People can generally tell if you're writing to sell something. If you're writing something that you really care about, that translates into something that will make a good movie.
The people who make movies love movies.
I think the people who make movies make the movies they loved growing up. You grow up watching movies and you have a response to these movies and you want to make movies like that.
Writing is hard.
Writing is hard. So if you sit down and really care about something, that really makes all the difference.
