When Quentin Tarantino announced last year that his WWII epic Inglourious Basterds would be ready to screen at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, it was a claim understandably met with skepticism. After all, the moviemaker's public ambitions have more often than not failed to coagulate (the Vega brothers movie, anyone?). But since beginning principal photography in October of 2008, Tarantino has been on track and this new teaser trailer is proof. The movie, starring Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers and Samuel L. Jackson, will be released on August 21, 2009, a few months after its Cannes premiere in May.
