Charlie Kaufman Visits Synecdoche, New York
Check out this clip from Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut Synecdoche, New York, set to be released on October 24, 2008. From the looks of it, the Oscar-winning writer has set out to melt audiences' brains once again, this time with a movie about a theater director attempting to stage a life-size recreation of life in New York City. With an enviable ensemble cast (including Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, Michelle Williams, Tom Noonan, Hope Davis, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Samantha Morton and Dianne Wiest) and plot that most likely collapses in on itself in true Kaufman fashion, Synecdoche looks to be yet another exercise in adventurous moviemaking from one of Hollywood's most refreshing writers.Advertisement
