Screenwriter Bruce C. McKenna Discusses “The Pacific”
HBO's latest epic World War II miniseries, "The Pacific," tells the intertwined stories of three American Marines (played by James Badge Dale, Jon Seda and Joseph Mazzello) during the United States' battle with Japan in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The show is a follow-up to the highly acclaimed 2001 HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers," which also revolved around World War II. On both shows, moviemaking giants Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks serve as executive producers. "The Pacific" is airing in 10 parts; the first premiered on March 14, the last will air May 16. In this exclusive MakingOf.com interview, screenwriter and co-executive producer Bruce C. McKenna, who spearheaded the project and was a writer on "Band of Brothers," discusses the surreal experience of seeing his work being brought to the small screen.SHARE THIS STORY |
