Michael Hoffman Discusses The Last Station

The Last Station is a historical drama—and one of the big awards contenders this holiday season—depicting the final year of life for legendary Russian writer and philosopher Leo Tolstoy (Christopher Plummer). The dynamite cast also includes Helen Mirren, James McAvoy and Paul Giamatti. The Last Station opened in limited release December 4, and opens wider on January 15. In this MakingOf.com video, writer-director Michael Hoffman (A Midsummer Night's Dream) discusses the movie's screenwriting and casting processes.
