Live From Sundance: Fear, Film and Goats
With his debut feature, the coming-of-age comedy Goats, director Christopher Neil brings to live Mark Poirier's novel about a boy who leaves his desert home, where he was raised by his New Age-y mother (Vera Farmiga) and a pot-smoking eccentric known only as Goat Man (David Duchovny), to attend a stuffy East Coast prep school. While there, the various adults he meets force the teen to tackle questions about life and love. Stars Farmiga, Duchovy and Ty Burrell sat down during the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, where Goats had its premiere, to chat about what attracted them to the film, the role of fear in an actor's life... and Farmiga's extensive knowledge of, you guessed it, goats.
