There’s No Doubt that Award Season is on its Way
You know its Oscar season proper when a new trailer is released featuring unsettling subject matter (in this case alleged child abuse by a priest), two acting legends (Philip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep), a score by Howard Shore and everyone's favorite real-life Disney princess (Amy Adams). The name of the film is Doubt and it has been adapted for the screen by writer-director John Patrick Shanley, who also wrote the original Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name. The trailer features all the thespian muscle-flexing you would expect from Streep and Hoffman, which easily categorizes this one as a must-see. Doubt hits U.S theaters December 12, 2008.SHARE THIS STORY |
