Gus Van Sant Gives Milk the Hollywood Treatment

Here's the brand new trailer for Gus Van Sant's Milk, an award-season biopic starring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk, America's first openly gay elected official. The rest of the cast is pretty stunning as well, made up of Josh Brolin (who seems determined to continue his 2007 success), James Franco, Emile Hirsch and Diego Luna. Harry Potter Gets Darker (And Delayed)

By now the news has been reported far and wide (as any Harry Potter news is wont to do) that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie will be seeing a July 2009 release date instead of its originally scheduled November 2008 date. Steve Coogan Makes Shakespeare Cool in Hamlet 2

Hamlet 2, which fetched a cool $10 million at Sundance, stars the always-funny Steve Coogan (24 Hour Party People, Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story) as a inappropriately unaware high school drama teacher whose latest production is a raunchy and irreverent sequel to the classic Shakespeare tragedy. Watch this scene from the film, released Wednesday, August 27, in which Coogan does a pitch-perfect impression of every teacher whose ever tried to sell Shakespeare as "cool" to his largely uninterested pupils.
