Baltimore Film Office

Baltimore has long been known for its two most native sons, filmmakers Barry Levinson and John Waters, but it also seeks to be known as, in the words of Mayor Martin O'Malley, "The most film friendly city in the country." Baltimore's Division of Film, Video and Television guides production companies through their search for locations and the use of government properties, permits, etc. Some of the incentives of filming in Baltimore include parking passes for location scouts, free use of selected City properties and facilities as well as various Maryland tax incentives.

Beaufort (South Carolina) Regional Film Commission

The Beaufort Regional Film Commission was organized in 2004 as part of the Tourism Committee of the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce and was named a standing committee of the chamber in 2005. The commission is a member of the Association of International Film Commissions. Its purpose is to promote the film friendly region of the South Carolina lowcountry and to serve as liaison with interested producers from the film, television or photography industry.

Georgia Film Office

Tax incentives that work! The Georgia Film Video and Music Office provides a variety of production services for local and visiting moviemakers-including location scouting for "green-lighted" projects. A staff member will develop an itinerary and accompany you and your representative on a location scout of Georgia sites for your project.

Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Film Commission

Virginia Film Office

Virginia is home to a spectacular unique 17th and 18th century backlot. Notes from Movieland: 14: Sundance, 28: Hollywood High

I promised to write about Antonio (Tony) Manriquez a few blogs ago. He’s one of the cinematic child wonders currently coming up through the ranks. Though still pursuing his own moviemaking expression on some level, Tony, 28, now teaches other youngsters the magic of moviemaking. One of the reasons I wanted to write about Tony was his incredible passion for and knowledge of not only the craft of moviemaking, but the world of film.
