North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival

Since its inception in 1995, the North Carolina Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (NCGLFF) has become the second largest gay and lesbian film festival in the Southeast, attracting as many as 10,000 patrons yearly. This year's festival will feature a diverse array of new films, including shorts, documentaries and feature films that provide a glimpse into the many faces of gay and lesbian life worldwide. The Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau named the NCGLFF a "Signature Event" for Durham, the highest honor bestowed on a cultural event or attraction by the organization.

A four-year, undergraduate program offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts and College Arts Diploma in directing, producing, screenwriting, editing and sound, cinematography and production design. Northwest Film Forum (NWFF) is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization dedicated to becoming the nation's leading center for film artists. The Red Wasp Film Festival is open to all filmmakers and especially encourages Texas filmmakers to submit films. In an effort to promote diversity, RWFF 2006 also encourages film submissions that explore the topics of racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual identities. Additionally, RWFF 2006 has created a student competition and will be accepting submissions from Brazos Valley area high school students. Short films of 30 minutes or less are especially encouraged, but RWFF will also consider longer feature-length films. Music videos, animation, and movie trailers are also encouraged.
