2007 Delaware Valley Film Festival

Attention Local Filmmakers! 3rd Annual Delaware Valley Film Festival Entries Wanted The 2007 Delaware Valley Film Festival will be held November 2, 3 and 4. The festival will be held at The Village Players of Hatboro Theater, 401 Jefferson Avenue, Hatboro, PA 19040. Entries are now being accepted. Projects must be filmed in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey or Maryland, with production costs not exceeding $15,000. All entries are ONLY $15 per submission regardless of length. Submissions must be in a DVD format. All submissions must be postmarked by August 31, 2007. The goal of the film festival is to provide a platform for local filmmakers to display their projects in a public forum. Films will be placed in the following categories: shorts, featurettes and features. Each entry will be selected for screening by a panel of judges based on the entertainment value, technical quality and creativity of the project. The films selected for screening will be announced October 1, 2007 on the festival's web site http://www.geocities.com/delawarevalleyfilmfestival/DVFF.html. Kodak at Cannes

Since 1987 Kodak has been the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival, sponsoring the Camera d’Or prize that is awarded yearly to the best feature film by a first-time director. The tradition continues in 2008 when, for the fifth consecutive year, the festival will also hand out the Kodak Discovery Prize for Best Short Film.

“Cannes draws a huge number of filmmakers from all over the world every year, which gives Kodak a great opportunity to host our customers and show them how committed we are to the industry and to motion picture innovation,” says Kim Snyder, Kodak’s president and general manager of the Entertainment Imaging Division.
