I am starting to buy film equipment for producing small films and movies mostly for friends and family and I need a list of film equipment, I would like a fairly advanced setup thank you

Without knowing what kind of budget you’re working with it’s impossible to suggest makes and models of cameras, sound gear, lighting kits, etc. but you definitely will need these things. Do your research on-line through some of the reputable equipment vendors and ask specific questions at film forums like this one.
For post production I suggest the most powerful Mac you can afford - equipped with the Final Cut Pro suite of software. This should take care of just about anything you want to do, but if you have some plans for sophisticated F/X that can’t be done in that package you’ll have to just surf around to see what you can find. There’s tons of great software available. Photoshop is always a useful addition to your graphics software.
Last thought - don’t cheap out. Always buy the best you can afford.
