All DSLR cameras have an optical viewfinder...Better than a point and shoot camera like the Nikon P100. The Sony A230 is a fairly simple DSLR

I think canon is the best camera company. They are making worlds beast quality cameras.

I’ve been fan of the JVC brand for sometime so i’d recommend the JVC GY-HD101E . It is a excellent little cam and it has been tried in the movie Gabriel . Worry not about the cam but about the actors ;)
