2010 Call For Submissions: QueerBlackCinema International Film Festival
QueerBlackCinema International Film Festival, October 15-17, 2010, Harlem, NY
QueerBlackCinema International Film Festival accepts film/video submissions either produced, written and/or directed by filmmakers both gay and straight of African descent in the U.S and internationally. Films must be LGBTQ themed, highlighting Black LGBTQ characters in leading roles and key supporting roles that are seen in non-stereotypical light, fore-fronting the significance of Black-on-Black LGBTQ relationships, preserve the culture and history through in-depth storytelling. Filmmakers from and writing about the Caribbean Islands and Africa are highly encourage to submit in their native language with English sub-titles. CATEGORIES:
Narrative Feature (50 minutes or longer)
Documentary Feature (50 minutes or longer)
Short (under 50 minutes; preferred length under 30 minutes)
Web-series (under 30 minutes; preferred length under 10 minutes)
