Digital Cinema Society - Event in San Francisco on Tuesday 5th August

On the evening of August 5, 2008, the Digital Cinema Society Northern California Chapter will come together to examine workflows for both the Sony XDCAM EX and RED One Cameras. Adobe gurus Kevan O’Brien and Giles Baker will present native XDCAM EX editing workflow using Premiere Pro CS3 and other CS3 software, give the latest details on their Cinema DNG initiative, and discuss (maybe even demonstrate) the new native RED R3D support in Adobe apps. Art Adams will present RED Build 16, color correcting RED, and his Wii spec spot; and Adam Wilt will talk about the EX1 and EX3 cameras.

Sony CineAlta EX1 and EX3 cameras, and a RED One camera will be on hand for an up-close look, courtesy of Adam Wilt, and Leigh Blicher of Videofax.

The event will be moderated by DCS Chapter President, Simon Sommerfeld.

THIS EVENT IS FREE! Note: You need to be a DCS member to attend, however, non-members will be granted a complimentary 3-month DCS trial membership upon registering for the event.

WHEN: 6:30-9:15pm, Tuesday, August 5. Doors open at 6:00 for mix and mingle.
