I take it that this is your first project,
you will need to shoot a pilot that you can take to the networks
or get to your agent to take to the networks
the networks will not do anything with it unless you give the IP over
polish your content you mixing the game show and reality show,
understand they are different

Willie 04, Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am a little green around the gills when it comes to television and more importantly with Reality Television. I am however learning as I go. I have experience in the film industry with one script currently being optioned and several others in various stages. I am also happy to report that I have two other creations for reality tv, one of which we are filming the pilot in Memphis, Tennessee later this month or early August. I see the future of Reality TV being sustaining, but also very different from much of what we see today. My concepts address bring out personal challenges, an educational format or otherwise seeking to somehow show people in a positive light. We have seen the success of the wierd, strange and shocking that probes sometime the worst of humanity, but in these difficult times, I ask can’t we find equal or greater success in see the best of humanity as well? I feel confident that “MY FANTASY RACER” will validate who I am in this market while teaching me the ropes of making this work. I am fortunate enough to have teamed up with a former Hollywood Studio V.P. with 25 years experience and a host of notable credits. Together, he and I are producing “MY FANTASY RACER” in association with one of the Nations Best Race Car Driving Schools. I’m sure you can imagine my thrill in see two projects (film/tv) in the works at the same time and after much effort and time invested into my creations, finally seeing the money in my account starting to grow. It certainly proves that dreaming can sometimes pay off. I have been working diligently on scripting episodes and writing a pilot for “WE THE PEOPLE, In Prime Time” and appreciate that you see this as not being the same as what we have been seeing in Court related Reality TV. I hope that by November, things will settle down enough to allow me to carbon copy what I am doing with “MY FANTASY RACER” and bring “WE THE PEOPLE, In Prime Time” to life. my interpretation of like attract like, is find out which genre, your game show fall under, then match this with which networks screens them. get a copy of hollywood reporter creative directory. do not approach the network directly, get an agent or better, get a distributor to approach the network for you. at the end of the day all you want is the network to get your product, step back and let your product do the talking.

this is where your game and reality shows need to be to be sold
make a short list of things that are going to exchange hands
1. the pilot
2. the ip
3. web domains if you have them
understand that if you go this way, you will have no further involvement in that specific game show
your other option is to sell 2 season and keep the IP, like amaerican Idol where you see Simon is the producer and I think X factor,
the question you need to ask yourself
do you want to let go of the IP
You can get a online game in the car race if you hold on to the IP
just a thought
and you have the name to match a perfect online game
get your hands on a street map and see if a game developer and replicate the street of hollywood and your online game will have players gunning through famouse street
hold onto the IP if your not intrested in doing the online game
license it out to some else

My recommendation would be to search out for potential underwriters before you attempt to distribute the show.  This can be very tricky since there’s no doubt a potential underwriter will want to know where it’s airing.  However, the easiest way is to find alternative content distribution strategies that will offer your sponsor/underwriter tangible value for their investment while giving you the funds you need to get the show made, which almost certainly will lead to a television distribution deal that is much more advantageous to you in the long run since you will retain all IP rights to the property.  I’ve written several articles and blog posts offering step-by-step instructions for doing so. http://www.guerillamogul.ning.com/page/amazing-new-ebook Good Luck to you

Well i see i am not the only soul out here searching for the correct avenue to distribute my reality tv show idea, and how is it possible that everyone here has the best idea,unique,out of the ordinary,etc.lol,well I do have a hit,garanteed, just in the idea phase,and now learning it is almost impossible to have the rt ears listen to it, so if anyone on here has the proper connections,or would like to team up with me,to move this along,i will cut you in for sure,:), I am limited for time,so( i will give you a hint),the current heavyweight champion of the world may retire soon),and it is imperative we contact him,for this deal,this is HUGE, and will net many viewers, helpppp,lol,very green here, but feeling it in my bones it is a winner,thnx for looking,Vince( Fistfighter)

I should agree with jennalyn, underwriters but i guess the project’s on going if not completed. How is/did it going/go?
