It’s kind of hard to create a boring movie trailer. You have about 90 seconds for your movie’s funniest/most dramatic lines, its awe-inspiring scenery and/or special effects and, of course, the high-wattage star. Slap an attention-grabbing song on there, and boom, Instant Audience Interest.
But some trailers are better than others. What’s your favorite movie trailer of all time? Maybe it’s for a movie adapted from a favorite book, and seeing it for the first time gave you shivers (my pick: Where the Wild Things Are). Maybe it brought to your attention a film that would later become a favorite (my pick: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). Maybe it just takes a movie that will probably be awful and, for 90 seconds, makes it look good (my pick: X-Men: First Class).
So, MovieMaker readers, what’s your favorite trailer?
