I am an independent writer/producer/director and am currently in production on my first feature, UpDownEve.  I always have my cast sign a contract to allow me to photograph them for the production, but then there’s the question of how much, since I promise this on the front end, to give them of a stipend if/when the movie gets distributed?  What would be a good percentage.  Should I go by what a SAG actor would get?

In recent projects low budget/ no budget film contracts been written to actors for $1 and a copy of the finish product.

Producer - ___% , Investor - ___% , Leading actor in the film (actor 1) - ___% , Supporting actor in the film ([ACTOR2]) - ___% , Writer for the film ([WRITER]) - ___% , CAPACITY [OTHER]) - ___%

It all should end up at 100%.  If distribution deal comes through
