So everybody and their mother is making an indie movie these days and as I sift through the “jobs” on Mandy.com I realize that I’m just part of some kid’s fantasy, that is… “Lets play Moviemaker!”

I’ve been in this business a long time and the only real paying clients I’ve encountered were either through procrewbook.com, my own contacts or my agent.  The rest is just a sea of egomaniacal dreamers, usually with little talent, and no money to pay either.  You get what you pay for!

Maybe, I’m being a bit harsh but that’s how I feel.

It’s completly true, I’m actually writing a web series based around this crazy concept. I ‘interned’ 5 times in order to ‘make connections’ and ‘pay my dues’ when I first moved to LA, I quickly learned its all BS, when people will work for free, why pay? The industry needs more laws.
