Cliche suggestion ahead:

for what its worth… i would have to go with casablanca. other than that i can’t really think of a romance film that i enjoyed very much.

I would say “Chasing Amy” it has enough humor in it to keep guys interested plus a good overall romantic plot.

separate tables,before sunrise and sunset,fatih akin’s the edge of heaven,a little romance,the goodbye girl,lumet’s the appointment,kieslowski’s a short film about love, well...love story,chaplin’s city lights,tess,almodovar’s hable con ella(for me his best film so far),the bridges of madison county and i am sure i forget the most important but there you go
