Wondering if anyone knows of a decent short program. I am not looking for a degree and the realities of life require me to work a day job so going back to college is not an option.  NYFA seemed like a good idea since it was only 8 weeks long which is something I could handle.

Most local communities offer seminars and workshops in your area.  For example, the Film Arts Foundation, in San Francisco offers production, screen writing, editing and much more.  Depending on where you live and how far, most local film groups offer memberships that are inexpensive.  Last resort, start your own group and call local colleges that are disposing equipment.  I found a 16mm projector in the trash at a local University.  It’s a shame, but a gold mine for me.  It works.
