At the hazy age of 21, Steve’s script, WEASEL, won the Grand Prize in the international CINESTORY SCREENWRITING AWARDS competition. Since then, Steve has sold scripts to WARNER BROS, NEW CRIME PRODUCTIONS, MANDALAY ENTERTAINMENT, IFC FILMS, ECHO LAKE PRODUCTIONS, VANGUARD ANIMATION, 20TH CENTURY FOX, and MORGAN CREEK, among others. He is represented by ICM.
Steve says two aspects of his job that he particularly enjoys are (1) pitching bizarre stories to uncaffeinated execs, and (2) his work mentoring fellow writers in bringing their projects from concept to fruition (the more esoteric and unlikely their ideas, the better).
He has been a full-time writer for 12 years now and loves what he does for a living. Steve somewhat peacefully coexists in Los Angeles with his ladylove, El, and their beloved faunal menagerie of five cats and one dog.
