168 Hour Film Project

The 168 Hour Film Project is a competition where producers have 168 hours (1 week) to film and edit an 11-minute movie based on a theme and a Bible verse. All films are created during production week and premiere at the 168 Film Festival.

All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival

American Documentary Film Festival

The American Documentary Film Festival, is located in the beautiful resort community of Palm Springs, California, 2 hours east of Hollywood. This film mecca boasts a favorable viewing audience, many self-proclaimed aficionados. American Documentary Film Festival aims to be the largest documentary festival and market on the West Coast of the United States. The festival works in conjunction with the Palm Springs Cultural Center - The Palm Springs Cultural Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established to encourage the development of the cultural arts in the Coachella Valley with a specific focus in the areas of film, fine art, live performance, dance, music, and community-wide participation in the cultural arts, and to sponsoring scholarship awards for deserving individuals. Angelus Student Film Festival

Ann Arbor Film Festival

The Ann Arbor Film Festival is the longest-running showcase of independent, experimental and artistically-inspired films in North America. Appy Film Festival

The annual Appalachian Film Festival is sponsored by the Huntington Regional Film Commission. The ASU Art Museum presents this annual outdoor film and video festival to celebrate the artistic and creative endeavors of people with different visions and levels of experience.

Artsfest Film Festival

Atlanta Jewish Film Festival

Founded in 2000, AJFF ranks as the largest film festival in Atlanta, and second largest Jewish film festival in the United States. Austin Film Festival

The Austin Film Festival is held every October and screens more than 100 feature, short and student short films (both narrative and documentary), including regional and world premieres of critically acclaimed films. Bahamas International Film Festival

The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing the local community and International festival goers with a diverse presentation of films from The Bahamas and around the world. While it is not your typical film festival that screens films, Best Film Shorts strives to give talented directors, producers, videographers, actors, and actresses the positive exposure they need by promoting our award-winners through press releases, media outlets, blog entries, etc.

Big Apple Film Festival

The annual Big Apple Film Festival screens a variety of specially selected films from the New York City independent film community, as well as additional selections from across the country and around the world. Boston Jewish Film Festival

BJFF screens films and videos that highlight the Jewish experience; explore Jewish culture/heritage/history; or are of particular interest to the Jewish community. BJFF presents narrative, documentary, animated and experimental works. We do not screen works in progress. Films submitted must be available for presentation in 35mm, Beta SP or DVD. Works can be of any length.

Boston Motion Picture Awards

The Boston Motion Picture Awards were founded in 2004 by Boston-area filmmakers Aaron and Seth Howland of 7 Fluid Oz. Productions LLP. The BMPAs were established with the purpose of providing independent filmmakers with money, exposure, distribution, and other important resources. This year's competitions include the International Short-Film Competition and the International Spoof-Writing Competition. This year's entrants will compete for 1,000s of dollars in cash and prizes, including a distribution contract and the opportunity to have a script produced.

Boulder International Film Festival

THE BOULDER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (www.biff1.com) is held annually on President's Day Weekend in Boulder, Colorado, and has developed a reputation as one of the most influential film festivals in the U.S., with an extraordinary number of new-but-unknown feature films, documentaries and shorts that have gone on from early screenings at BIFF to significant box-office success and multiple Oscar nominations. Boyle Heights Latina Independent Film Extravaganza BHLIFE

The Boyle Heights Latina Independent Film Extravaganza is back for its third year! Founder Josefina Lopez and everyone at CASA 0101 are proud to announce the return of BHLIFE taking place on December 7th - 9th. The 4th Annual BUFFALO NIAGARA FILM FESTIVAL (BNFF) spans ten days and presents a thoughtfully selected program of independent films at various landmark venues around Buffalo & Niagara Falls, New York, with its sparkling Niagara Falls situated right in its backyard.

Byron Bay Film Festival

Films of all lengths and genres which were completed after January 1st 2005 are welcome to enter with awards available in the categories of Best Film, Young Filmmaker (under 25), Animation, Experimental, Surfing, Drama, Documentary, Marine, Comedy and Cinematography. The theme for BBFF 2007 is 'looking to the future' and the festival aims to explore the possibilities of filmmaking and related technology.

Byron Bay International Film Festival

The 2011 BBFF will screen for 10 days in beautiful sub-tropical Byron Bay, the first place in Australia to receive the sun, providing filmmakers with the opportunity to present their work at a truly distinctive film festival. Located just a short stroll from one of the world’s finest surf beaches, this Festival attracts International filmmakers, directors, producers, performers, cultural tourists and prominent members of Australia’s film industry, not to mention plenty of appreciative locals. Calgary International Film Festival

An international celebration of cultural diversity and independent thought, CIFF takes place every September in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Screening the best-of-the-best films from moviemakers hailing from more than 100 countries around the world, CIFF offers prizes for Best Canadian Feature, Best International Feature, Best Documentary, People’s Choice as well as several shorts awards. CIFF is also home to the Mavericks competition for emerging filmmakers, which has a prize of $25,000.

Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers

The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers presents the 17th Annual $100 Film Festival. The festival gives Calgary audiences the chance to experience the diversity and creativity that characterizes low-budget, independent filmmaking.
