http://www.silverdocs.com/Silverdocs was created through a unique alliance between AFI and the Discovery Channel to showcase, honor and expand the audience for creative documentaries. The Festival takes place in June at the state-of-the-art AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, MD, just minutes from downtown Washington, DC. SILVERDOCS also hosts an International Documentary Conference, providing moviemakers with unprecedented access to more than 100 industry executives from the US and more than 50 countries around the world. In its inaugural year, the Conference played host to over 100 broadcasters and moviemakers from developing countries.
