Festival LISTINGS
Bend Film Festival
http://www.bendfilm.org/We take great care to cover your every need. Recognition? Yes, with over $20,000 in prizes to back the acknowledgment. Guest Services? You will have your own GS person to guide you wherever and whenever necessary. Parties? Let's just say that we are the 'Animal House' of festivals--only slightly more refined thanks to the restaurants (Merenda, run by San Francisco celeb chef Jody Denton), entertainment and bars that support the festival. BendFilm Festival is a destination that festival fairy tales are made of. Small town, scenic, full of character and yet, there's no attitude. "Altitude without Attitude" is a favored motto. We don't allow red velvet ropes within the city boundaries during the month of October. Instead we stage a festival that provides you every bit of access to the action, the esteemed jurors & industry vets for the opportunities and the fun.

Four Christmases Kicks Off the Holiday Season On Top
This Thanksgiving there was plenty to go around—both at the dinner table and the box office. The big winner of the weekend was the modestly reviewed Four Christmases, directed by Seth Gordon (King of Kong) and starring Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Robert Duvall and Jon Voight. The season's first batch of holiday hijinx netted an estimated $31.7 million in Friday to Sunday grosses with an even more impressive five-day total of $46.7 million. Smash hit Twilight slipped to second place with a $26.4 million Friday to Sunday gross and a $39.5 million five-day total—a far cry from its $69.6 million opening weekend.
