The one thing that separates us from all other film schools out there is that at SCC we explore theory through hands on production. Length of program: Approx 2 years. Cost: Approx $2.500 + course fees for 1 year. Pre-requisites: None. Degree/Certificate: Associate of Applied Science Degree and /or certificate in 5 areas: Screenwriting, Film Production, Broadcast Production, Editing, Analyses and Criticism. Accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Equipment/Facilities: 2 state of the arts soundstages for film and tv productions. 2 state of the arts Post-Production Hi-tech Labs for instruction and student production. We teach the latest versions of software e.g. Avid, Pro-Tools, Photoshop, Final Cut, Final Draft, budgeting, After Effects and more on Top notch G-5 Macs. 50 stations available to students. Super 16mm, 16mm, DVcam, DVC Pro HD and Lighting, sound, grip and camera equipment available for checkout. We provide all necessary equipment for student production except film and tape. Campus Amenities: Beautiful Campus, Fitness Center, Cafeteria, Library, Performing Arts Center, Theater and Art Departments, Culinary Arts.
