Ryerson University's School of Image Arts offers undergraduate programs leading to a BFA, in film, photography and new media. A new Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Media is set to begin in September 2007. The MFA is centred on production, drawing on Ryerson's tradition of applied education and strong industry and alumni links in film, photography and new media. The curriculum provides for an understanding of the historical and contemporary theoretical framework that surrounds the ongoing development of documentary practices.

Producers Guild of America Announces Nominees

The Producers Guild of America is the latest to reveal its nominees for the best movie of the year and like we’ve seen many times already this awards season, there are a few motion pictures that stood head and shoulders above the crowd. Among them, five are nominated for the PGA’s top prize: Motion Picture Producer of the Year award. Among the contenders vying for the prize are The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Frost/Nixon, Milk and Slumdog Millionaire.
