Andrew Sniezek, Director of REACTION Independent Studios, will screen his latest film, The Container, a dark comedy short that puts an interesting twist on a chance meeting between two people at a storage facility. The screening will take place at the 2nd intallment of the Groton Public Library's winter film series, Small Time/Big Time: Independent Film in New England, to be held on Sunday, March 4 at 2PM in Sibley Hall (see for more information). Actor Mick Hoegen, SAG-New England; screenwriter Michael Belanger, and composer Drew Krassowski will also be on hand to talk about filmmaking in New England and to answer questions from the audience. Producers Guild of America Announces Nominees

The Producers Guild of America is the latest to reveal its nominees for the best movie of the year and like we’ve seen many times already this awards season, there are a few motion pictures that stood head and shoulders above the crowd. Among them, five are nominated for the PGA’s top prize: Motion Picture Producer of the Year award. Among the contenders vying for the prize are The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Frost/Nixon, Milk and Slumdog Millionaire.
