Video Views Pick: I Love You, Man

directed by John Hamburg
R; 104 minutes

Successful real estate agent Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) gets along great with women. He’s definitely not gay—he just doesn’t have any male friends. Without a best man to stand up for him at his pending marriage, his fiancée Zooey (Rashida Jones), along with his parents (Jane Curtin, J. K. Simmons) and even his homosexual brother (Andy Samberg) try to fix him up on man-dates so he might establish friendships. These encounters all turn out to be bizarre, awkward and hilarious disasters, until one day—at an open house to sell Lou Ferigno’s mansion—Peter meets Sydney Fife (Jason Segel), a laidback, free-speaking, open-minded dude. They hit it off and a wonderful bromance is born. They walk, they talk, they play rock guitars together. But as this relationship gets stronger, Zooey begins to feel threatened and wonders who is the more important person in Peter’s life. With the marriage now imminent, both Peter and Zooey have important decisions to make. Also starring Jaime Pressly and Jon Favreau.

DVD Extras: Commentaries; Deleted/Extended Scenes, Outtakes, “Making-of” Featurette.
