Callboard: Single In the City

Speed-dating and the Internet may be the “blind dates” of the new millennium, but now unattached urbanites in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Chicago have another option for finding that special someone: Going to the movies.

Liking what they saw in one another, Loews Cineplex, the nationwide movie chain, and Lavalife, a top singles Website, have hooked up to present Click at a Flick, a monthly event for the spouseless. Part screening series, part singles bar, Click at a Flick offers lovelorn cineastes the convenience of sparking both their passions in one place. For the cost of a single movie ticket, singles are invited for a 90-minute, pre-screening reception where they can mingle and meet up with movie-minded individuals like themselves—and hopefully find a partner for a possible nightcap.

The movie lineup consists of only first-run flicks, so even if you don’t find your soul mate, you are guaranteed at least one Hollywood ending!

For more information, visit Loews at www.enjoytheshow.com or Lavalife at www.lavalife.com.
