Meet the Browns Charity Auction Raises Funds for Pediatric AIDS

Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns opens today with a special charitable opportunity for fans of the movie’s cast: Lionsgate is auctioning posters signed by the film’s stars on eBay. The posters feature autographs from Perry along with stars Angela Bassett, Rick Fox, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lewis, David Mann, Tamela Mann and Lance Gross. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, a pioneer in raising funds for pediatric AIDS research.

Winners will also received a letter from a Lionsgate executive verifying the signed poster’s authenticity. With only a limited number of posters available, fans should be sure to act quickly. The auction, currently open, will close on March 23.

Meet the Browns is the latest film from the popular writer-director Tyler Perry. The comedy/drama stars Angela Bassett as a Chicago-based single mother who takes her family to Georgia after she learns of the death of the father she never knew. Perry’s previous hits include this fall’s Why Did I Get Married?, Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Madea’s Family Reunion
