TVLand.com Launches Movie Database
There is something so satisfying about two hours worth of plot, action and dialogue crammed into three minutes of fast-paced delight. Yesterday, the channel that loves to reminisce launched a movie trailer database on its Website. TVLand.com’s collection of trailers features pop culture phenomena, sleeper hits and cult classics from the 1950s through the ‘90s.
The almost 1,000 trailers in the database are searchable alphabetically, by genre or by decade and also incorporate details on each film. Among the famous trailers included in the collection are Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Risky Business and The Amityville Horror. Each trailer can be viewed in full screen mode just to get that added big-screen experience.
In 2005, TVLand.com won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Enhanced Television for its lovingly interactive online programming and trivia. This new database allows movie lovers to relive the days before their favorite films became classics.
