Getting Revved Up for BMW of Sarasota’s Short Film Contest

Aspiring moviemakers looking for a life in the cinematic fast lane should be aware of a new short film contest. BMW of Sarasota is holding a short film contest, awarding a $10,000 grand prize to whomever makes the best BWM-inspired movie. The short movie, which should be between one and three minutes in length, must refer to BMW in general and specifically BMW of Sarasota in some creative fashion. The movie can be any—action, drama, comedy, it’s totally up to the maker. Of course, the material must not be offensive in any manner. Acceptable formats for the movie are HD and standard. The deadline is tomorrow, Tuesday, July 15th, so do some quick creative brainstorming about BMWs if you want a shot at some extra cash.

This reminds me of the BMW movies that they had a while back. Obviously these movies most likely won’t be that high budgeted but I hope they will be available to the public. They will be quite interesting to watch.

One time a while ago I was seeing a movie in the theater and before the movie they played a short film from a coca-cola movie making contest. It showed Steven Spielberg in college getting inspiration for his movies, but as he went all the things he saw mirrored the events of the movies. It was brilliant! Far better then the actually movie I went to see. I’ve been trying to find even a reference to it on the internet but have been unable to do so.

Not a bad reward, I sure could use that money.  My buddy has a BMW, I let him know about this.

About this topic, I know everything. Hab was Volker Shtiny and thought he was getting rid of illiquid property and called the site winyourhome The following year came the competition http://www.contestswinmoney.info and began to publish such projects. Also, a project winanewlife, only the organizer could not gather the required number of tickets and had to return the money. This is true, and gives credibility in the eyes of participants. Thanks for the article and good luck.

That’s an interesting move coming from BMW parts, I am sure they’ll have plenty original productions to chose from and this would certainly add originality to the brand. Is the big price a car or it’s just the money?
