Things I’ve Learned As A Moviemaker

Keep it simple.

Encourage the actors after every take. Acting is like jumping without a parachute—it’s a scary thing to do. My acting coach made me try it once, so I know.

Don’t worry about coloring inside the lines.

Get everyone on the set to do what they do best.

Drink plenty of water—very important while you’re filming.

Feed your crew well. That’s important.

I have to have a crush on everyone that I work with. It helps.

A little bit of sexual energy on the set is really good—keeps everybody going. A little sexual energy, not real sex, sexual energy; flirtation.

In dealing with the press, don’t try to control things. Be yourself.
