Thirty-something unmarried couple Burt Farlander (John Krasinski) and Verona DeTessant (Maya Rudolph) are expecting a baby. Living in Denver, close to his parents (Catherine O’Hara and Jeff Daniels), they are dismayed to hear that his folks are moving to Belgium just before the birth of their grandchild. Unsure as to where they want to live, they begin a journey across the continent in order to find the right place to raise their daughter.
